Pillows have been our sleep partners for centuries now. Since the very first day pillows were introduced they have never failed to give us all the comfort we need. In fact, our whole sleeping ritual centers on the pillow. And while this may be a bit of a mushy introduction for such a common-place item, decorative pillows, the cousin of the bedroom pillow, are ready to set rooms on fire by adding explosions of color to what could otherwise be bland and unremarkable decor.

Decorative pillows are created for the very purpose of home trimming and of all the home decorations, pillows are the easiest ones to handle. Their usual shapes are squares and circular, but some designers have experimented with other shapes too. Place it on high or low places that wouldn’t matter because people would still notice their uniqueness. Children are among the individuals who are avid fans of the décor cushion and the designs they like are just as simple as one, two, or three.

Green as Shrek

The animated film, Shrek, is not only limited to DVD and the big screen alone. Kids want a piece of the big green ogre in their beds as well. Pillows, pillow cases, and bedspreads are sure to make your children happy and their friends green with envy. And of course, Shrek wasn’t the only popular character. Donkey has his fans too and luckily, manufacturers have listened and made bedding items featuring him as well.

With the aid of pillows, cartoon characters are made larger than life, while at the same time help children feel proud to have a room to call their own. It’s also possible, that with so many familiar faces around, sleep time might just be a bit easier too.
