Portable moisture analyzer are generally used in many places although most of us are not aware of it. For example, we can used moisture analyzers to test for moisture content in food production. They are also used in  plastic manufacturing companies to ensure that the materials are not wet.  Given the nature of this product, some folks might not know what to look for during their purchase. Different methods of testing for moisture

There are generally three methods to testing for moisture. One is called the loss on drying (LOD) method. This is used mainly to mesure moisture in solid materials. For liquid materials, another method called the Karl Fischer titration method is used. This method is pioneered by a German engineer and is suited for materials that are very volatile such as liquids. Finally, there is a group of techniques that measures moisture in air. These include color indicator tubes, aluminum oxide,  chilled mirrors, etc.

Cost of moisture analyzer

In general, these moisture analyzers are not cheap if you buy a good quality brand.  In general, they can cost up to a few thousand dollars for industrial strength analyzers. To find cheaper sources, you probably need to take a look at to check out any second hand moisture analyzers that might be on sale. However, you need to do your homework thoroughly to avoid buying a product that might not be working.
